Al Raddi – Women on Money: A Contest    Friday 1pm - 2pm Macomb Room

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution, this educational forum will be a knowledge check on women on coins and banknotes. There will be game with 10 multiple-choice questions about women on coins and banknotes and a PowerPoint presentation with details on the 40 possible responses. It should be fun, and prizes (donated by the Huron Valley Numismatic Society in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment) will be given to all the participants.

Al Raddi is a retired social worker who enjoys collecting and writing about coins, medals and tokens as well as stamps, postcards, magazines, railroad timetables and comic book art. He is a member of the Michigan State Numismatic Society and is active in his local coin club, the Huron Valley Numismatic Society. Al lives in Milford, MI with his wife Julie and their golden retriever Gracie.

Dany Rothfeld - Error Coins   Saturday Macomb Room  3:15pm - 4:15pm

Dany Rothfeld has been involved in numismatic for about 40 years. He has been an exhibitor at coin conventions for more than 30 years and served for 16 consecutive years on the MSNS Board of Directors.

DANY has received the ANA Presidential Award, the Smedley Award and others.

Besides his other numismatic interests Dany started collecting error coins and error Banknotes about 20 years ago.

At this Error Coin presentation you’ll learn about the coin striking process at the US Mints and how various error coins are produced.

This presentation will examine Numismatic Exhibiting. It is an opportunity to share your collecting passion and knowledge with other collectors. Learn how one collector progressed from assembling a collection and expanded into Exhibiting.

Some of the in’s and out's of Exhibit preparation, the competitive judging process and a visit to the Convention’s Exhibit Area are included.
