Hello everyone!
I wanted to touch base on a very important subject and that is MSNS individual and club memberships. In conferring with our incoming president Kathy Freeland and incoming vice president Kevin Markman, there will be a concerted effort on bringing on new members to the organization and embracing renewed relationships with our member clubs. Since Covid, we have seen a decline in membership as have other organizations, with a slight uptick in the last few years. We would like to get those membership numbers up to pre-pandemic status. We have a solid core of longstanding members, but we would like to target our younger numismatists to keep the hobby moving in a positive direction. Our membership has been great over the years, and I am proud to say that no disciplinary actions/expulsions have been taken over the years when I was president.
Our president and vice president, along with myself, have been and will continue to visit our member clubs to hear your feedback on our great organization. We offer a great number of positive things when you become a member. We have the award winning Michmatist magazine that you receive 4 times a year with informative articles, club meeting dates and times, convention reviews, presidential messages, and a plethora of events, speakers, seminars and such. Our Young Numismatist programs are the best with superb attendance at our conventions. Please consider becoming a member or even referring a friend.
